Nadine Dinter has been taking photographs since 1991, initially focusing on the genres of sculpture and portrait photography.
First exhibition in 1998 at Schering AG. Further photo presentations in Berlin and New York followed: "Project Angel" + "Project Angel Reloaded" (2001, NYC), "Essence of Winter" (2002, NYC), "In the eye of the beholder" (2004, Berlin) and "Janus-Faced" (2013, Berlin).
Since 2006, Dinter has increasingly worked in the field of commissioned photography for various publications such as "Kunstzeitung", "KUNSTJAHR", "H-Art" and various daily newspapers.
Represented by akg-images since 2000.
"As part of my commissioned work for various art magazines, I have had the opportunity to meet and portray many exciting personalities from the international art scene, such as the grandiose Douglas Gordon, the cool Ives Maes, the lively Alexander Schuktuew and the meditative Marco Nizzoli. Often with less than the famous 5 minutes, sometimes in the rain, sometimes on the way to the next interview. Every encounter was a flash decision, some flash shots became favorite pictures."
"No matter where the journey took me, the camera always came with me. Whether it's the beloved Nikon F5 for most cemetery tours, the beefy Canon EOS 5D Mark II for documenting the Venice Biennale or the documenta or, more recently, the Leica D-Lux 7 on Mauritius, in Luxor or Venice - photographic documentation runs 24/7 and thus defines my life in the most pleasant way possible."
